| Welcome to the Peninsula Dental
Hygienists Association!
My name is Lisa Handa and I am honored to be your president
for the 2007-08 year. As I sit here and ponder my message
to you, I keep thinking the words Out Reach, Community,
and Leadership. For a while, some of you may have been
feeling a “dis-connect “from our
component (and maybe your profession) but, I would like
to assure you that we are here for you. As part of your
tripartite membership, membership in your local component
not only keeps you up to date on events and changes
within our profession on national and state levels,
but provides the platform for facilitating change, implementing
new information and making a positive difference in
your community. My goal is to build and strengthen the
relationships we have with our members and colleagues
in an environment that fosters camaraderie and professional
growth. So, whether you choose to be an active member
or silent supporter PDHA is happy to have you as part
of our community and we look forward to being a vital
part of your professional life.
