| President's Message |
 Dear Colleagues,
My name is Mandy McFarland and I will be serving as your President for the coming year. I would like to tell you a little about myself. I graduated in 2007 from the Foothill College dental hygiene program and currently practice in Saratoga. Prior to that I worked as an RDA in a group practice for 9 years. My bachelor's degree is in sociology and I have found dental hygiene to be the perfect fit for my love of interacting with people while improving their oral health. I have been on the SCVDHA board since I graduated, working with our community dental health programs.
The board has already been busy planning a variety of education, outreach and social activities for the coming year. Whether you are a new graduate or a seasoned hygienist, we hope that you will be able to take advantage of one of the many programs available through the Santa Clara Valley Component.
