Liz Chaney Receives the 2006 Pfizer/ADHA
Award for Excellence in Dental Hygiene

member, Liz Chaney, RDH, BA was one of five dental hygienists
from across the country to receive this prestigious award.
Recipients of the award for dental hygiene excellence demonstrate
excellence in one of the six roles of dental hygiene as defined
by the ADHA: administrator/manager; change agent; clinician;
consumer advocate; educator; researcher. Award recipients
are also selected based on their accomplishments and the impact
that they have had on the practice and future of the dental
hygiene profession.
Liz was recognized for her many years of dedication to the
dental hygiene profession. An ADHA member for over 62 years,
Liz continues to be active as a leader in CAL Hy PAC, as a
speaker for the Healthy Body Healthy Mind Program for UC Riverside
and as a member of the legislative action committees of the
American Association of Retired People and the National Association
for Active and Retired Federal Employees. Liz describes her
passion for dental hygiene as being infinite. She says, “I
will always be dedicated to the growth and development of
this profession”.
The 19th annual awards presentation took place on June 25,
during the President's Luncheon at the ADHA Annual Session
held at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida.
